April 13, 2016 [Platts] - The first liquefied natural gas bunkering operation at the Dutch port of Vlissingen took place Monday, according to a statement from the port's operator, Zeeland Seaports.

The bunkering was performed from truck to ship.

The operation is part of a pilot program lasting until the end of the year that will determine if consistent LNG bunkering will be carried out at the port.

The program is the result of a collaboration between Chemgas, a liquid gas shipper with vessels capable of running on LNG, and Zeeland Seaports.
