Average Berth Occupancy
The average percentage of time a berth is occupied, based on a week with 7 days containing 24 hours. It is based on ship tracking data and the defined berths as displayed in TankTerminals.com’s terminal fact sheets. We focus on tankers only. Push boats and other ships that are not identified as tankers are excluded from the calculation.
In some cases AIS signal coverage may be poor and this may result in an understatement of the berth occupancy compared to reality. The information is based on various data sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate due to unforeseen reasons.
