Average Visit Duration
The Average Visit Duration is defined as the average amount of hours a vessel spends at a berth. It is calculated based on ship tracking data. The weekly statistic is based on the vessels that depart in that week. We focus on tankers only. Push boats and other ships that are not identified as tankers are excluded from the calculation.
In some cases AIS signal coverage may be poor and this may result in an understatement of the average visit duration compared to reality. The information is based on various data sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate due to unforeseen reasons.
