September 10, 2026 [Offshore Technology]- Argent LNG and the Albanian Government signed a non-binding MoU to evaluate an onshore LNG storage and regasification terminal on Albania’s coast, with up to 5 mtpa regasification capacity. The project would strengthen energy security across the Western Balkans and Southeast Europe and connect to the TAP, IAP and Fier–Vlore gas corridor. It could also support Ukraine through regional gas flows and swaps. A joint working group will assess feasibility, sites, interconnections and financing, with potential U.S. support. The project follows Argent LNG’s MoUs with Naftogaz (July 2026) and Transgaz (August 2026) and targets alignment with Argent LNG’s 2030 first cargo.
