CLH and Algeciras Port Work Together for the Environment

October 28, 2013 [TankTerminals.com via Diario del Puerto] - Last week, the president of the Algeciras Port Authority and the Chief Operations Officer of CLH signed an environmental good practices agreement, based on Port Act, complementing the Environmental Management System CHL has implemented at its storage terminal in Algeciras, which complies ISO 14001.


By this agreement, CLH undertakes to certify, through periodic monitoring supervised by an independent specialized body, all controls required by law are fulfilled, and to develop programs to improve the environmental situation.

The Port Authority, on the other hand, will apply to CLH bonuses on port taxes provided in Port Act for these cases.

CLH storage terminal in Algeciras is the most important facility, dedicated to storage and transshipment of maritime diesel and intermediate fuel oil used as marine fuel, and a prominent one in Europe.
