September 14, 2017 [SeeNews] - Croatian state-owned company LNG Hrvatska says it is inviting bids in two separate tenders for the delivery of a Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU) and procurement of civil engineering works.

The bidding deadline is September 29 and the tenders are part of a project for the construction a floating terminal for storage and regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the island of Krk, according to a request for offers posted on LNG Hrvatska website.

The FSRU delivery contract will include the provision of operation and maintenance services, LNG Hrvatska said.

The civil engineering project is consisting of the design and construction of a jetty, connecting gas pipeline and high-pressure installations including pigging station, water and drainage, auxiliary facilities and buildings.

In February, Croatia’s government said it received a 102 million euro ($121.2 million) grant from the European Union for the construction of the LNG terminal.

Currently, the government is in the final phase of selecting a strategic investor, with construction works scheduled to begin in 2019. The total value of the project is 363 million euro.
