Falcon Gases Announces Strategic Majority Investment from Odyssey Investment Partners
09.25.2026 By Tank Terminals - NEWS

September 25, 2026 [Storage Terminals Magazine]- Packaged gas distribution platform Falcon Gases has secured a strategic majority investment from Odyssey Investment Partners, while simultaneously completing the acquisition of Encore Gas & Supply, an independent gas and welding supply distributor serving the US West Coast.

The transactions mark a significant step in Falcon’s plans to establish a larger independent packaged gas distribution platform. Financial terms of both transactions were not disclosed.

Founded in late 2025, Falcon is led by a team of industry executives with experience across industrial gases and private-equity-backed buy-and-build strategies. The company identified Encore as its initial investment as it begins pursuing a broader expansion strategy.

Odyssey provides growth capital

Under the investment agreement, Odyssey Investment Partners will work alongside Falcon’s management team to support the company’s growth strategy and future mergers and acquisitions.

Henry Bendit, managing principal at Odyssey Investment Partners, said the firm intends to support Falcon’s management team as it develops its position in the packaged gas sector.

Odyssey has previous experience investing in industrial distribution businesses, which the firm expects to apply as Falcon and Encore develop the combined platform.

Falcon CEO Pete Jeffe said the investment provides the company with capital and strategic support as it works toward building a larger independent packaged gas distribution business.

Encore becomes Falcon’s first acquisition

Falcon’s acquisition of Encore Gas & Supply establishes the platform’s initial operating business.

Based across three locations in Southern California, Encore supplies packaged gases, microbulk products, welding supplies and technical services. The company has built its business around serving customers in the industrial gas and welding markets.

Encore President Ben Anderson said the company intends to maintain its focus on customers, employees and assets as it enters its next phase of growth.

The acquisition also provides Falcon with an established operating platform from which it can pursue additional opportunities within the fragmented packaged gas distribution market.

Building through acquisitions and partnerships

Falcon’s strategy combines organic growth with acquisitions and partnerships with business owners and management teams.

Jeffe said the company intends to work collaboratively with acquired businesses rather than simply integrating them into a larger corporate structure. He described Encore as the foundational partnership for Falcon’s expansion strategy, citing its established customer relationships, growth record and service capabilities.

With Odyssey’s investment and Encore as its first acquisition, Falcon now has the initial capital and operating platform from which to pursue further expansion in the packaged gas and welding supply sectors.
