August 14, 2026 [Storage Terminals Magazine]- Ghent Renewables has successfully commissioned its second production line, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth and expanding its capacity to process second-generation waste oils into feedstocks for biofuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The new production line increases Ghent Renewables’ processing capacity and enhances its ability to produce high-quality, low-metal feedstocks for the growing renewable fuels market.
The additional capacity is expected to support rising demand for waste-based feedstocks while strengthening the company’s contribution to the circular economy by converting waste oils into valuable resources for renewable fuel production.
Ghent Renewables said the commissioning represents an important step in its development and will allow the company to further strengthen its processing capabilities and support the transition toward lower-carbon fuels.
The company credited its employees, partners and contractors for their contribution to the project and its successful completion.
The commissioning of the second production line further positions Ghent Renewables to support the renewable fuels sector by transforming second-generation waste oils into feedstocks for biofuels and SAF.
