September 21, 2026 [Hydrocarbon Processing]- INA has successfully started up the new Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) at its Rijeka Refinery in Croatia. Feedstock was introduced on 1 September 2026 following Mechanical Completion and commissioning, with the unit subsequently operating at around 70% of design capacity and producing all key products at required quality. The EUR 700 million upgrade enables the refinery to process heavier crude, increase diesel output by up to 30%, and eliminate VGO imports. INA and MOL Group have invested EUR 1.3 billion in refining and logistics modernization over 12 years. Stable DCU operation is expected by year-end, followed by final performance testing.
