September 24, 2026 [Hydrocarbon Engineering]- Ludoil Capital has completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in ISAB from GOI Energy, following Golden Power, antitrust and EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation approvals. The €1 billion enterprise-value asset includes the refineries at Priolo, Melilli and Syracuse, Sicily. Ludoil plans about €1.3 billion of investment over five years to restart and modernise refinery units and develop biofuels, including biogasoline, SAF and HVO. The existing workforce will be retained, with around 1,000 additional workers involved during the investment programme. The transaction, announced on 13 May 2026, closed on 23 September 2026.
