Ravenna LNG terminal backed

November 8, 2022 [Tank Storage Mag] – Italy’s Emilia Romagna region has approved a project for a new floating LNG terminal in the region of Ravenna.

 

Emila’s Romagna’s economic development councillor, Vincenzo Colla told news outlets that almost €1 billion was being invested into the project.

This LNG terminal is one of two new floating terminals to be operated by Italy’s state-controlled gas grid and will have a capacity of 5 billion m3 capacity each, covering around 15% of national annual gas consumption.
