August 18, 2026 [Storage Terminals Magazine]- Twinsity has launched Twinsity V2, a major update to its industrial inspection platform designed to give inspection teams greater control over how they record, review and report asset conditions.
The update introduces a rebuilt interface, centralised project management and a new Observation Profile Builder, allowing inspection teams to configure the platform around their own standards, terminology and workflows.
The Observation Profile Builder enables teams to define the Observation Classes and Fields they use during inspections. These can be arranged according to the team’s established processes, meaning inspectors can record findings using familiar structures rather than adapting their methods to a predefined software format.
The feature is available to customers on Pro and Enterprise plans, while Prospector customers receive access at launch at no additional cost.
Twinsity V2 also introduces a central project management area that brings projects, workspaces, users and Observation Profiles together in one location. Within individual projects, inspection, AI detection review and report generation are organised through dedicated tabs.
The platform has also been updated to support larger inspection projects, where hundreds of observations may be generated. Observations can now be organised into groups, selected in ranges and moved or deleted in bulk. Filtering can be performed simultaneously by shape and Observation Class, with filters applied across both the observation list and 3D environment.
The 3D inspection view has also been redesigned, with simplified camera controls and improved navigation through complex environments such as tunnels and tanks. Users can select an observation and automatically move the camera to frame the finding against the relevant surface.
Additional improvements have been made to image annotation and reporting. Users can reposition drawings on images more easily, while reports now have a dedicated area where completed PDFs can be previewed without leaving the Twinsity platform.
The company’s AI-assisted inspection workflow remains based on a human-in-the-loop approach. The AI analyses inspection imagery and highlights potential findings, while inspectors remain responsible for confirming, correcting or dismissing those detections.
According to Twinsity, the approach is intended to provide inspection teams with a complete and traceable record of their work, helping asset owners demonstrate that inspection imagery has been reviewed and findings properly assessed.
The Twinsity V2 update is now available to all customers, with existing links and bookmarks continuing to work following the platform upgrade.
Claes Bergholt Hviid, business development manager at COWI, highlighted the importance of maintaining comprehensive inspection records, noting that complete documentation can allow asset owners to establish whether a defect was already present during an earlier inspection.
