August 22, 2026. According to Investing, despite beating earnings expectations, shares fell as investors weighed strong operational results against the company’s debt load and exposure to volatile global LNG markets.
Venture Global posted record Q2 2026 adjusted EBITDA of $2.5 billion (up 79% YoY) on $4.58 billion revenue and raised full-year guidance to $8.7–9.1 billion, driven by higher LNG volumes and pricing.
The company exported 127 cargos (up 43%) totaling 478 TBtu from its Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines terminals, reaching its 1,000th cargo overall, with 91% of expected 2026 volumes already contracted.
Plaquemines Phase I is in final commissioning (targeting commercial operation in Q4 2026 at ~11–12.4 MTPA run-rate), while CP2 construction stands at 36% complete with first LNG expected in H2 2027.
New offtake deals and expansions (including CP2 and Plaquemines bolt-ons) support a path to ~85 MTPA total capacity by end-2029, reinforcing U.S. LNG export terminal infrastructure and long-term supply contracts.
Strong terminal utilization and vessel financing further strengthen the company’s position in global LNG supply chains amid resilient Asian demand and tight European storage.
