September 18, 2026 [Hydrocarbon Processing]- Ca Mau province has proposed that Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade include a Ca Mau Petrochemical Complex in the National Energy Master Plan 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050. Planned for Tan Thuan Industrial Park, the project would be developed in two phases, starting at 65,000 bpd (3 million t/y) and expanding to 155,000 bpd (7 million t/y), with completion targeted for 2026–2030. The complex would process a roughly 50/50 blend of Middle Eastern and South American crude and aims to reduce Vietnam’s reliance on imported fuels and strengthen Ca Mau’s role as a regional energy and logistics hub.
